Checkout Metabones.  With that beingness said, I ended up selling/replacing my EF lenses with native MFT glass.

Re: Best EF to MFT adapters

I have not used Fotodiox or Metabones adapters, but I take been happy with the price and performance of my Viltrox and Commlite EF-to-MFT adapters and speedboosters. My only wish is that someone would make weather condition-sealed versions of these. To my noesis, just ane of the Metabones adapters has any sealing.

I use a viltrox EFM1 with a canon 400mm 5.vi L (800mm f11). You become SAF and Pro capture H. It's a lot of fun on kingfisher. The ring is inexpensive, and then you don't retrieve twice.

A friend have the metabones witch is better, but, for me, far likewise expensive. You get a improve CAF, perhaps a slightly faster SAF, AND: AF with the 2 extenders x1.4 & X2, and even x1.iv + x2.

Of grade AF is far to be every bit expert as, say, my D500 or a 7Dmkii, but it works "ok" with an EM1 mk ii (or better).

Pro capture is the best part

Re: Best EF to MFT adapters

I am at present down to a single Catechism EF lens that I employ underwater with the eight-15mm fisheye

I have likewise used a Sigma 150-600mm withal it was too heavy to handle and the autofocus functioning is not great. It only works in CAF on Olympus models with PDAF and not all firmware versions perform well

In terms of weather condition sealing consider that most EF lenses are not atmospheric condition sealed anyway except sometimes for the lens mount

I tested 4 electronic EF adapters:

Metabones and Viltrox to M4/3

Sigma and Fotodiox Fusion to 50-Mount

The same lenses were used for all tests

Given that it takes some serious effort to understand the different lens protocols I think that compatibility with lenses should be (possibly) cantankerous receiving mount systems - merely make up your own mind.

These sort of discussions generally fail because dissimilar lenses perform "differently" and of form there are and then many EF mount lenses that it is simply pot-luck if "your" lens matches up to a tested variety.

Likewise the adapter can receive really bad press if its performance fails on just ane lens that someone has happened to endeavor in isolation.

Notation that the Viltrox M2 (focal reduction) adapter did not work with lenses faster than f1.four when I compiled this test spreadsheet.  Their M1 version performed equally described and had no issues with the very fast lenses.  Since then Viltrox has updated their M2 firmware to eliminate this upshot only I am non completely satisfied that every faster than f1.4 lens has been covered.

Basically, for wide compatibilty, Metabones -> Viltrox -> Fusion -> Sigma
